Investment Associate

At Your.Online, investments are the engine of our buy-and-build strategy. As an Investment Associate, you will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions that expand our portfolio of 90+ digital businesses across Europe and North America.

Your work will directly contribute to long-term value creation by identifying high-quality companies, executing disciplined transactions, and strengthening our position across the Presence, Performance, and Trust segments.

The role in our strategy
Your.Online operates a decentralized model: local companies retain operational autonomy, while the group provides capital, expertise, and structure to accelerate sustainable growth.

The Investment Team is central to this model. It ensures that every acquisition aligns with our long-term vision, strengthens our platform, and contributes to scalable value creation.

In this role, you will:

  • Independently lead smaller transactions and support larger deals across the full M&A lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of advisors, founders, and intermediaries to drive deal flow.
  • Translate market insights into actionable acquisition strategies and target pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and segment teams to execute high-quality transactions.
  • Contribute to shaping Your.Online’s acquisition roadmap across geographies and segments.

This is a high-impact role with direct influence on the growth, direction, and performance of the group.

Your key responsibilities

  • Deal execution – Lead end-to-end M&A processes for smaller transactions and support larger deals, from origination to closing.
  • Financial analysis & valuation – Build financial models, perform valuations, and develop investment proposals to support decision-making.
  • Deal sourcing & network development – Establish and maintain relationships with M&A advisors, founders, and industry stakeholders to generate high-quality deal flow.
  • Market intelligence – Identify trends, new markets, and emerging opportunities to strengthen the acquisition strategy.
  • Strategic contribution – Provide input on the group’s acquisition roadmap and long-term growth strategy.

Success in the first year

  • Closed transactions – Successfully lead and close multiple smaller deals, contributing directly to portfolio expansion.
  • High-quality deal flow – Build a strong and active network resulting in a consistent pipeline of relevant acquisition opportunities.
  • Execution excellence – Deliver well-structured financial analyses, investment proposals, and due diligence processes.
  • Strategic impact – Contribute to refining acquisition strategies through market insights and target identification.

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Business, or another quantitative discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in private equity, M&A, corporate finance, transaction services, or venture capital.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience in valuation and deal execution.
  • Hands-on and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (another European language is a plus).

What we offer

  • Strategic impact – A role where your work directly drives acquisitions, growth, and long-term value creation.
  • Professional growth – Exposure to international M&A, investment strategy, and collaboration across segments.
  • Entrepreneurial environment – Work within a fast-growing, decentralized platform alongside experienced dealmakers.
  • Hybrid working – Based in Amsterdam, with flexibility to balance collaboration and productivity.
  • Competitive compensation – Salary, performance bonus, and benefits aligned with your experience and contribution.
