Name(Required)

Data Engineer

At Your.Online, part of Your.World, data is a strategic enabler for our buy-and-build model. As Data Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain the centralized data infrastructure that supports acquisition integration, financial steering, and performance analysis across our portfolio of 90+ companies in Europe and North America. Your work will ensure that data-driven decision-making is embedded at every level, from local operations to group-wide strategy.

The role in our strategy
Your.Online operates a decentralized model: local companies retain operational autonomy, while the group provides expertise, structure, and long-term capital. Data engineering is critical to this approach, enabling consistent reporting, scalable integration of acquisitions, and actionable insights for finance, M&A, and segment leadership.

In this role, you will:

  • Architect and optimize the data platform to support cross-border consolidation, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Integrate and standardize data from acquired entities, ensuring seamless onboarding and alignment with group metrics.
  • Enhance data quality, governance, and security, reducing risk and increasing reliability for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with BI, Finance, and M&A to deliver timely, accurate data that informs investment decisions and operational improvements.
  • Leverage Azure, Fabric, and AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • This is a technical leadership role with direct impact on the presence, performance and trust segments.

Your key responsibilities

  • Data Architecture – Design and maintain a scalable, cost-efficient data infrastructure for international operations.
  • Acquisition Integration – Onboard new entities into the group data framework, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Performance Optimization – Improve data processing speed, storage efficiency, and real-time reporting capabilities.
  • Data Governance – Implement master data management and quality controls to support audits and decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Alignment – Translate technical requirements into business-relevant solutions for non-technical teams.

Success in the first year

  • Efficient onboarding: New acquisitions are fully integrated into the data ecosystem within 30 days, with no disruption to reporting.
  • Unified metrics: Key segments operate on standardized KPIs and dashboards, enabling comparative analysis and benchmarking.
  • Platform optimization: The data infrastructure achieves a 20% improvement in processing speed while reducing operational costs.

Your profile

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in an international, M&A-driven environment.
  • Technical expertise in Azure, Fabric, SQL, and Python; experience with Databricks and AI applications is an advantage.
  • Analytical and structured: Ability to translate complex data challenges into clear, actionable plans.
  • Collaborative mindset: Comfortable working with Finance, M&A, and local teams to align data solutions with business goals.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.

What we offer

  • Strategic impact: A role where your work directly influences acquisition success, financial performance, and operational trust.
  • Technical ownership: The opportunity to shape the data architecture of a fast-growing international group.
  • Professional growth: Development opportunities within Your.World, including exposure to M&A, finance, and segment leadership.
  • Hybrid working: Based in Amsterdam, with flexibility to optimize productivity and collaboration.
  • Competitive compensation: Salary, performance bonus, and pension scheme aligned with your experience and contribution.
